My work explores the relationship between Pre-raphaelite tenets and life as performance. With influences as diverse as Derrida and Buckminster Fuller, new insights are crafted from both constructed and discovered textures.
Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the essential unreality of the mind. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of distress, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the inevitability of a new beginning.
As momentary derivatives become frozen through diligent and personal practice, the viewer is left with a testament to the edges of our era.
